Menasha Corporation Foundation Donates $25,000 To Jones Regional Medical Center Building Project

Gift Made on Behalf of ORBIS Corporation in Monticello, Iowa

The Menasha Corporation Foundation has announced a gift of $25,000 to the Jones Regional Medical Center Foundation in Anamosa, Iowa.  The Medical Center is replacing its current facility with a state-of-the-art hospital with 22 inpatient beds.
“The Menasha Corporation Foundation is pleased to be able to contribute to the access to primary healthcare services for the thousands of rural residents who are served by Jones Regional Medical Center,” said Ralph L. Evans, president of Menasha Corporation Foundation.  “Having access to healthcare is an essential part of healthy, thriving communities and the hospital is a major economic force for the area.  Our donation is given in support of the employees of ORBIS Corporation and other residents to ensure that a full range of health services continues to be available within the vicinity.”
The donation is being made from the Foundation’s “Field of Interest Award” fund, which focuses on awards that will make a significant impact on the community at large.
Dennis Pilgrim, ORBIS’ plant manager in Monticello, added, “Our employees, as well as all of the residents of the area, will benefit from the new hospital.  Enhanced access to care by specialized physicians, along with expanded outpatient surgery and services, will allow those in the Jones Regional Medical Center service area to receive high-quality care near their homes, saving time and money.”
The new facility will better accommodate the outpatient and emergency healthcare environments.  Because of the increase in demand for outpatient services, the design of the new facility will address privacy issues and increase operating efficiencies.
“We are grateful for ORBIS’ support of the new Jones Regional Medical Center. The people we serve repeatedly tell us they are extremely pleased with the medical expertise, technical training and customer service they receive from the Jones Regional medical family, but also note a modern facility would enhance their healthcare experience. This fall, we’ll be able to deliver the care that Jones Regional patients have come to expect in a new, state-of-the-art medical facility,” says Sean Williams, Jones Regional Medical Center’s CEO.
