Menasha Corporation Expands Pharmaceutical Packaging Capabilities


Menasha Corporation today completed the acquisition of Creative Press, a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical packaging, labels and inserts. Creative Press, located in Evansville, IN, supplies quick-turn, high-quality products and value-added services to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, biotechnology and medical device markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Creative Press products include folding cartons, packaging, pressure-sensitive labels, inserts, outserts, product manuals, and brochures. The company employs approximately 100 people.

"Creative Press is a successful, growth-oriented company that complements and adds to our New Jersey Packaging Company," said Arthur W. Huge, chief executive officer, Menasha Corporation. Huge said that the acquisition of Creative Press would expand the product offerings, services and capabilities of both companies, which share similar values of quick-turn service, design, security solutions, and FDA compliance. The acquisition also supports Menasha's objective for long-term profitable growth.

Huge also noted that New Jersey Packaging is expanding into the Raleigh, North Carolina area. He said that the company was completing a new facility near the Research Triangle Park area. The new plant is scheduled to begin production in mid-2006.
